Humanity Within the Architecture of Control

North Korea reveals moments of humanity that appear quietly within a landscape shaped by authority. People move through a world where expectations are clear and boundaries are constant, yet expression still finds its way into daily life.

The series explores the tension between individual presence and the systems that organize behaviour and perception. Rather than focusing on the spectacle of the place, the work looks at the human rhythms that persist inside its structure.

These photographs do not aim to uncover secrets or expose what lies behind the surface. Instead, they observe how ordinary people inhabit a controlled environment and how subtle gestures and everyday routines continue despite the weight of the authority surrounding them.
